Seoul Restaurant and Lounge has been family owned and operated by Sung Ye Kim, known as “Sunny” by our regular patrons, since 1999.  Sunny arrived in the United States from Seoul, Korea in 1984.  Beginning then, Sunny hoped to one day celebrate her cultural heritage by opening a restaurant serving authentic Korean dishes just like she had while growing up.  Through many years of hard work and determination her one time hopes are now reality.  Seoul's interior is pleasant, connecting genuine Asian décor and friendly service into a comfortable, warm, and inviting atmosphere.

Seoul Restaurant’s menu is filled with tasty and hearty Asian dishes.  Several appetizers include: Pajun (Korean style pancake), Gyoza (Pan-fried dumplings), Edamame (Blanched soy beans) among many other offerings.  Entrees are wide ranging and include such specialties as: Stone Pot (Dol Sot) and Sashimi Bibim bap, Sweet and Sour Beef or Chicken, various Korean Barbeques (Kalbi & Bulgogi) and delicious soups and stews (Jam Bong, Kalbi Tang & Kim Chi Jigae).  Seoul Restaurant’s sushi chef offers several extraordinary creations utilizing the freshest fish and ingredients.  According to our regular patrons, the sushi and sashimi melts in your mouth and is widely regarded as “The Best in New Haven”.  Seoul Restaurant provides free parking and also specializes in catering packages adding uniqueness and flare to your special event or party.  Seoul Restaurant and Lounge also hosts special events such as birthdays and karaoke parties.
